Community Craft was born in 2024 as a non-profit organization of Prodigy Brewing’s in support of Cache Valley’s unsung heroes. From the beginning, Prodigy Brewing is dedicated to Cache Valley, and Community Craft’s mission is to support those who work tirelessly to make our community a better place. Community Craft allows us to shine a spotlight on these local heroes and provide them with the support they deserve. So many people add value to Cache Valley and go unnoticed with little or no financial support; our goal is to honor these individuals and help them continue their efforts.
Fundraising for Community Craft kicked off with the first annual Community Craft Beer Fest on September 22nd 2024. Our goal was to bring the community together for an afternoon to celebrate Utah’s amazing craft beer scene and to raise funds. The beer festival highlighted over 10 Utah craft breweries, live music, food trucks, local vendors and a silent auction at the gorgeous Mt. Naomi Farms. It was a beautiful day with nearly 600 attendees helping raise a significant amount of money to support our mission.
Planning is now underway for this year’s Community Craft Beer Fest and is scheduled for Sunday, September 21st 2025. More details are coming soon!

Hillcrest Elementary teacher LeeAnn Koval is making a difference in the lives of children, both inside and outside of the classroom. As a 4th-grade teacher in the Portuguese side of the school’s Dual Language Immersion program, she is dedicated to education—but her passion for service extends far beyond the school walls.
Since November 2020, she has been actively involved with Sleep in Heavenly Peace (SHP), an organization committed to ensuring that no child sleeps on the floor. Over the years, she has participated in building an estimated 200 beds.
Originally from Inkom, Idaho, she has called Cache Valley home since 2015. In addition to her work as an educator and volunteer, she is a devoted widowed mother to five children, (father was a LODD firefighter) ranging in age from 34 to 17, and a proud grandmother to four.
LeeAnn’s dedication to our community makes her the perfect recipient of Prodigy Brewing’s Community Craft inaugural Unsung Hero Award. Community Craft was born out of the vision to serve Cache Valley through fundraising efforts to support our community members who are out there doing good seemingly under the radar and without recognition. Prodigy Brewing is so happy to be a part of this amazing valley and are thrilled to be able to serve our community through Community Craft.
